Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):


CNAs are also known as Patient Care Assistants and Nursing assistants in a healthcare system. As the name suggests, in this diploma students will be edified and trained to carry out medical treatments and patient care services. CNAs will work as subordinates of registered nurses or Doctors.

During this diploma, they will be encouraged to evoke empathy in them. So, they will be able to deal with immobile patients with utmost safety and compassion.

Role in Health Sector

CNAs are mainly expected to provide patient care services. That includes:

•Patient care providers.

•Assists patients in mobility and bathing.

•Provides home care service.

•Assistant in rehabilitation centers.

Eligibility Criteria:

•Female and Male Both

•Matric (Science) with 45 % marks minimum 

•Matric (Arts) with 50% marks or FA with 50% Marks        

•Age Limit: 14-35 years

Duration: 

It is a two-year program and is affiliated with Pakistan Nursing Council and Punjab Nursing Examination Board.


Specialization/Further Studies options:

•CNA can become a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by pursuing more knowledge in the field.

•Post Specialization in Trauma and Emergency.

•Post Specialization in Intensive Care Unit.

•Post Specialization in Critical Care Unit.
