Leadership

Leadership

Vision, and the discipline to deliver it.

DYIMS is led by a team that combines clinical practice, healthcare management, and medical education — bringing both the founding vision and the operational discipline needed to run a growing institute.

MY

Dr. Muhammad Yahya

Chairman, DYIMS

Being the founding consultant surgeon of Layyah, I felt I had to go above and beyond to render my services to the people of this district. Years ago, I envisioned empowering the students of Layyah — I saw a dire need for trained healthcare professionals, and from that need, the idea of DYIMS was born.

"My love for this land inspired the foundation of DYIMS."

Today, I am proud to say we have turned that vision into reality. I was determined to open the eyes of our students to the breadth of opportunity that exists in allied health professions, beyond the single path most families know. I have made certain that its facilities, faculty, and infrastructure are held to national and international standards. I am confident that the students who graduate from this institute will be respected — in this province, across Pakistan, and around the world. I extend my best wishes to every student who joins us.

AY

Dr. Ali Yahya

Chief Executive Officer

DYIMS exists to give the students of South Punjab a real, credible path into healthcare careers — one backed by genuine national accreditation, not just ambition. My focus as CEO is making sure that promise holds: that every program we offer is properly affiliated, every facility meets the standard our students deserve, and every rupee of tuition translates into real teaching, real labs, and real clinical exposure.

We’ve built DYIMS to be the largest institute of its kind in this region, and we intend to keep it that way by staying disciplined about quality as we grow — not by cutting corners to grow faster. I’m proud of what this team has built, and even prouder of where our graduates go next.

MK

Dr. Muhammad Awais Khan

Project Director

I have spent my career in medical education, and DYIMS has been part of that journey from its earliest vision. My priority here has always been to take conventional ideas about technical education and turn them into something better — a genuinely modern learning environment, properly designed and properly equipped.
I am proud to see DYIMS standing today as a functioning, growing institute. Every step of its development — from facilities to faculty to curriculum — has been built with the intention of giving our students an education that holds up against national and international benchmarks. I look forward to the outcomes of that effort, because I believe our students are receiving an education that genuinely prepares them for the profession ahead.

SS

Dr. Saima Sadaf

Principal, Allied Health Sciences

As Principal of Allied Health Sciences at DYIMS, I carry the responsibility of guiding and shaping our students — not only academically, but in character. We’ve built a clear, fair code of conduct and code of ethics, designed to instil the discipline and values our students will carry well beyond their time here.

I want every DYIMS graduate to be known as much for their professionalism and integrity as for their technical skill. Education and ethics go hand in hand here, and I welcome every student stepping into these promising allied healthcare professions to hold themselves to that same standard.

SB

Ms. Safia Bano

Principal, School of Nursing

Nursing asks something of a person that few other professions do — the willingness to show up for someone on their hardest day, with skill and with compassion in equal measure. That is what we work to build in every student who comes through the School of Nursing at DYIMS.
Our nursing diploma programs are approved by the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council and affiliated with the Nursing Examination Board Punjab, and we take that responsibility seriously — not just as a regulatory requirement, but because the communities our graduates will serve, often as the only trained healthcare worker many families ever see, deserve nothing less. I’m proud of the nurses, midwives, and health visitors we’ve trained here, and I look forward to welcoming the next class.
